The Columbia Girls Indoor track Team won gold medals in 5 of the 8 events, along with a silver and a bronze, to win the 2014 Essex County Girls Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at the Jersey City Armory. Weequahic took 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals to finish second with Mt St Dominc Academy third with 4 silver and 1 bronze collection of medals.
In the Boys Championships it was Seton Hall Prep, winning 5 events, who outdistanced 2nd place West Orange. St Benedict’s won the remaining 3 events and finished 3rd.
