Both the semifinals of the Essex County Softball Tournament and Day 1 of the Essex County Outdoor Track & Field Championships have been postponed for Friday, May 16th. The Track meet will be condensed into one day, tomorrow, Saturday, May 17th at Montclair’s Woodman Field. The Softball semifinals will be played on Sunday, May 18th at Ivy Hill Park on the campus of Seton Hall University. Game times are Caldwell (6) vs. Mt St Dominic (2) at 2pm followed by Cedar Grove (9) vs. Nutley (4) at 4pm.
The Championship game of the Greater Newark Tournament, the Essex County Baseball Tournament, has been scheduled for 2pm on Saturday, May 17th at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium. This is a change from the original game time of noon. Cedar Grove (6) faces Seton Hall Prep (1) for the championship.
