Year sixteen of the Cheer For The Cure is in the books- most significant because this was year one of the Karen Centinaro Memorial Cheer for the Cure.
The level of performance has never been better. The Athletes and Coaches of Essex County put on quite a show.
Sixteen schools participated and there was not a single deduction the entire evening (deductions are generally for dangerous or unsafe movements).
The Coaches have never been more responsive and helpful- you make the event move smoothly- we could not make it work without your help.
A previous email outlined some potential changes- but the basic framework will remain the same- which adds up to a night we can all be proud of.
This years Champions;
Colonial Division- James Caldwell HS
Liberty Division- MX Shabazz HS
American Division- Nutley HS (Their 15th in the 16 years of the CFTC)
Best Dance- Bloomfield HS (obviously a reflection of their AD)
Best Stunts- Verona HS
Most Spirited- Newark Collegiate
