The Championship Finals of the 2016 Essex County Girls, and Boys Soccer Tournaments were held on Sunday at Montclair State University’s beautifully renovated soccer stadium. In the doubleheader’s first game Livingston outlasted a determined Montclair squad to take home the Girls Championship trophy with a 1-0 win.
The boys match was not as close as East Side ran away with a decisive 4-0 victory. This was the first county soccer title for the Red Raiders since 1978.
