Verona High School is the 2017 Essex County Girls Volleyball Champion. At the championship final, played Saturday afternoon at Bloomfield High School, Verona defeated Mt St Dominic Academy 2 sets to O.
A record 34 teams entered this year’s tournament. The Seeding Committee did a masterful job as the seeds held true throughout the tournament. Mt St Dominic (2) defeated Livingston (3) while Verona (1) won over Caldwell (4) at last Thursday’s semifinals.
