The Seeding Committees of both the Essex County Softball Tournament and the Greater Newark Tournament (our baseball tournament) met Monday evening to develop their seedings and bracket for this season. Oddly, both tournaments have the exact same number of teams entered this year, 22.
A slightly lower number then in immediate past seasons.
Both tournaments are scheduled to play their one Preliminary Round on or before Thursday, May 2.
The main draw’s First Round is scheduled for Saturday, May 4. All games at the higher seeded teams site.
