The Essex County Boys Tennis Tournament held its early rounds on Tuesday at the Althea Gibson Tennis Center in Branch Brook Park. Coming out of the day’s action are top-seeded Newark Academy, Montclair (2), Livingston (3) and Montclair Kimberley Academy (5).
Of interest is MKA’s 3-2 match win over Millburn, a team often found in the tournament’s later rounds. The Semifinals and Final are scheduled at the same site this Saturday, April 27. The Semis to be held beginning at 10:30am weather permitting.
