The Essex County Softball Tournament advanced to its’ semifinal round after completing the rain interrupted quarterfinals this past weekend. This sets up Friday evening’s semifinals to be held at Ivy Hill Park, adjacent to Seton Hall University.
To reach this stage Cedar Grove (4) defeated Verona (5) while Mt St Dominic (1) eliminated Montclair (8). The two victors face off in the second semifinal set at 7pm.
In the other half of the bracket it was Nutley (3) winning over Columbia (6) while Livingston (2) protected its’ seeding by moving past West Essex (7). This sets up the 5pm first semifinal game.
