The Essex County Field Hockey Tournament has been seeded by the head coaches and the tournament is set to begin.
The tournament features a “Play In” type format. The top-seeded teams receive “byes” to the later rounds in order to prevent large mismatches.
A Preliminary Round will be played on October 6 in which Mt St Dominic (10) plays at Livingston (7) and Caldwell (9) plays at Columbia (8).
The First Round brings in Glen Ridge (5) and Verona (6) while MKA (3) and Millburn (4) have “byes” to the Quarterfinals. The Semifinal Round is where the two top seeds, West Essex (1) and Montclair (2) await their opponents. The championship final is scheduled for Saturday, October 15th, 1pm at West Essex.
