In two First Round games played on Saturday, Glen Ridge and Livingston advanced to the Quarterfinals of the Essex County Field Hockey Tournament. Glen Ridge, seeded 5th defeated Caldwell, the 9th seed while Livingston , 7th won over Verona, number 6.
The Quarterfinal match-ups are scheduled for Monday, October 10 at the higher seeded teams field. They will match Glen Ridge against Millburn (4) and Livingston traveling to play Montclair Kimberley Academy (3).
The tournament’s two top seeds, West Essex (1) and Montclair (2) await the Quarterfinal winners. The Semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, October 12 also at the higher seed.
The championship final game shall be played at West Essex on Saturday, October 15 at 1pm.
