Montclair Immaculate Conception defeated University High School on Saturday to win its’ second consecutive Essex County Girls Basketball Tournament Championship. The game was played before a great, vocal crowd as the second half of the championship weekend at Essex County College in Newark.
In the first game it was Seton Hall Prep taking home the championship trophy of the Essex County Boys Basketball Tournament with a victory over Arts High School. Seton Hall led throughout the contest and was never seriously challenged throughout. This too was the second consecutive tournament win for Seton Hall.
