Newark Academy, the top seed, defeated second seeded Millburn, four matches to one, to win the Essex County Girls Tennis Tournament.
This was the first county tournament title in Girls Tennis for Newark Academy in twenty-three year.
The tournament was competed at the Althea Gibson Tennis Center in Branch Brook Park over two days, Tuesday, September 17 and Saturday, September 21.
