The Super Essex Conference’s Cheerleading showcase, “Cheer For The Cure” is set to be held on Thursday, October 6 at Bloomfield’s Foley Field stadium complex. Every year the conference gives its’ cheerleading squads the chance to compete and be in the spotlight. Proceeds are donated to several charities in the area.
CHEER FOR THE CURE INFORMATION-October 6, 2022- 6 pm
BUS INFORMATION
- Bus drop off time is between 4:00 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Do not arrive before 4 PM. Buses will drop off your team in the north bound lane of John F. Kennedy Drive at the first driveway. This
is before you pass the stands. Do not pull into the driveway-buses will be unable to turn around.
- Teams will be escorted into the stadium by showcase personnel.
- Bus drivers will be instructed where to turn around, so they can park on John F Kennedy Drive in the south bound lane.
- At the end of the showcase, all teams will be escorted across JFK and will proceed to their buses.
FOLEY FIELD
- Only cheerleaders, coaches and team personnel will be permitted inside the fenced in area surrounding the field.
- Teams should sit along the track or in the end zones. If your JV team is attending the showcase, they may sit with the Varsity. Please keep your bags with you in the area where you are sitting.
- NO SPECTATORS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THIS AREA OF THE FIELD.
INFORMATION FOR COACHES
- Warm-ups begin at 5:00 on the turf field. Three teams will be warming up at a time. You will warm up in the order in which you will perform. Performance order is on separate attachment. NO MATS WILL BE USED DURING WARMUPS OR DURING THE PERFORMANCES.
- Team pictures immediately after you warm up in the south endzone.
- Please arrive at the showcase in uniform with your hair and make-up performance ready. There are no indoor restroom facilities at Foley Field. Port-A-Johns will be available.
- Judges will be seated at field level.
- DJ will be in the press box. Test your music when you arrive. Please be sure the DJ has your music prior to your performance. Having back up music is advisable.
- An Athletic Trainer will be on site.
SHOWCASE INFORMATION
- Tickets go on sale at 5:00 – we suggest that spectators arrive early.
- JV teams will be allowed in for free if they are in uniform.
- Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens.
- Due to the charitable nature of this event, no passes of any kind will be accepted.
- Parking is available along the north side of John F. Kennedy Drive, in the Municipal parking lot behind the Town Pub on Broad Street and in the Administration Building parking lot across the street from Bloomfield High School at 160 Broad Street.
- A Concession stand, and T Shirt sales will be set up in the scoreboard end of the field.
- Project Cheer up will have an information table near the concession stand.
- Regardless of the temperature, the showcase will go on.
- Rain date is Tuesday, October 11. The same procedures will be in place.
