On Saturday afternoon, at Porcello Field in West Orange, Millburn (1) defeated Montclair (4) and Seton Hall Prep (2) edged Livingston (3) to advance to the title game of the Greater Newark Tournament. Next weekend’s championship game will be played at Verona’s Doc Goeltz Field at noon, weather permitting.
The Greater Newark Tournament advanced its’ top seeds into Saturday’s semifinals at Seton Hall’s Kelly Athletic Complex. At 11am Montclair (4) faces Millburn (1). Seton Hall Prep won the Greater Newark Baseball Tournament yesterday afternoon at Yogi Berra Stadium on the campus of Montclair State University. The Pirates overwhelmed the Nutley Raiders in the five-inning contest bringing the championship back to West Orange since their last win in 2017.
