The 2018 Essex County Girls Volleyball Tournament has seeded its’ thirty team field and is ready to begin play. The tournament’s Seeding Committee on Tuesday evening awarded Millburn the number one seed. Following Millburn are Verona (2), Mt St Dominic (3), Caldwell (4) and West Orange (5) making up the top five.
Next up were Montclair Kimberley (6), Montclair (7), and Bloomfield (8). These top eight teams have “byes” until the First Round scheduled to be played on or by Saturday, October 20.
The remaining twenty-two teams will pare themselves down over two “Preliminary Rounds” with the first match-ups set to be played on or by Tuesday, October 16.
The Quarterfinals will be played by October 23rd and the Semifinal Round will be hosted by Bloomfield on October 25th. West Essex shall host the championship final on Saturday, October 27.
