Millburn High School left with both Championship trophies Friday evening at the Essex County Cross Country Championships. The girls team won by a 40 – 50 score over second place Montclair even though Montclair senior Juliet Kohli ran to a first place finish, breaking the 18 minute barrier with a time of 17:55.7. Millburn girls finished 2, 6, 7, 11 and 14th to win the team title.

For the boys’ race it was Millburn’s Matt Grossman leading the field, winning the race with a time of 15:06.5. Millburn runners came in 1, 6, 7, 8 and 22nd to win over second place Columbia.
