Under the most adverse of weather conditions Friday at School Stadium the Montclair girl track and field team and the Seton Hall (boys) team prevailed to become the winners of the Essex County Track & Field Championships. Rain and cold hindered all competitors during the day but the meet managed to complete all its events,
Montclair edged West Orange to win with 92 points (versus 85 for WO) and outdistanced the rest of the field.
